In an era where the world is at our fingertips through the internet and VR, the sight of stuffed animals in museum cabinets and caged creatures in zoos is a vivid reminder of our darker impulses. This photo series aims to expose this unsettling reality. Curiosity drives evolution. It’s the spark that pushes us to explore, to innovate, to understand. But this same curiosity can also lead to destruction. We hunt, capture, and kill with cruelty, all in the name of knowledge and entertainment. Beautiful, majestic animals are reduced to lifeless exhibits, stripped of their freedom and dignity, displayed for our fleeting amusement. Hunters proudly put on show their trophies—heads mounted on walls, skins stretched out as rugs, others collect jars filled with once-living baby animals preserved in formaldehyde. We stick glass eyes into hollow orbits, trying to recreate the spark of life we so heartlessly extinguished. These macabre collections serve as a testament to our insatiable need to conquer and possess. In a time when we can virtually travel the globe, see wildlife documentaries, and experience nature's wonders without leaving our homes, why do we still imprison these magnificent beings? Why do we sacrifice their liberty for our curiosity? "Curiosity Kills" is a call to realize that our curiosity should no longer come at the cost of another's freedom. It’s time to evolve beyond our barbaric past and let all creatures live and thrive in their natural habitats. To marvel at life, not cage it.
